Born in Gastonia, NC, raised and educated in Baltimore, MD and Wilmington, DE, Valerie longed for asmall, safe and nurturing environment where her toddler daughter could learn and grow physically, mentally and spiritually. She visited and fell in love with the US Virgin Islands, and in 1996, her husband and daughter chose St. Croix as their new home. She landed on the Island without a job, and using her persistence and confidence, immediately found employment…moving forward in all facets of her life ever since.
The warmth of the people and the consistent 85 degree weather is what has kept them in St. Croix. She says it is the perfect place for her family, which has grown, and after 11 years, they have no plans of leaving. The beauty of the Island and the closeness of the community allows for a peaceful spirit. Plus, she says, “Who wouldn’t want to wake up to blue skies and sparkling water every morning?”
She has a degree from Widener University and over 25 years of Office and Business Administration experience, as well as wholesale retail sales and business ownership experience. She is also heavily involved in non-profit organizations such as CHADD and P2P Support Group.

Alfred serves as Director and Co-Owner of Coral Beach Realty. He has over 20 years of experience in the development and construction of multi-family and single family residential communities and neighborhood revitalization projects. Having played a key role in more than $18M of development and revitalization projects, Alfred has taken that experience and gained valuable entrepreneurial and leadership skills. While serving as director, he provides counsel relating to all aspects of real estate operations, development, management and financing.
Alfred is a proud member of the Morgan State University family in Baltimore, Maryland and credits his business skills and training to that outstanding University. He has served on numerous community service boards and currently works privately as a mentor and friend to many St. Croix youth. Yolan C. Brow Ross was born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. She received a B.A. from Duke University in 1995 and a law degree from Tulane Law School in 1998. She is a member of the Virgin Islands Bar Association and Federal Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Virgin Islands and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.
